What Am I Reading Now?

This book called to me on so many levels- mother, writer, and lover of all things French. All these parts of me have been deeply and truly satisfied. I laughed my way through this book (French children under two years old eating fish and carotte vinegaraitte for lunch at their day care center?) I also asked myself many of the questions this book challenges us to ponder (can a child begin to “live his own life” at a much younger age than we allow for? Do children actually thrive with a sense of freedom within overtly defined limits? Do we compliment children too much in our culture, giving our kids a false sense of success or accomplishment?). This book is smart, fun, and relevant. I also love an author who uses her own life as robust writing material. Don’t miss this book friends- LOVED IT!
