My husband gave me this book for Hanukah and while I’ve read a million books on meditation and related practices I have to say I’m enjoying this book more than others of its kind. It gives simple and doable exercises to bring a more mindful experience to each day. What is mindfulness anyway? For me it’s not missing anything because I’m asleep while awake. Its awareness while you eat, walk, enter and exit spaces, think and notice your surroundings. Mindfulness takes you out of the tunnel and opens your senses to the simple but imperative realities of being alive. I love how this book is helping me capture more awake moments through its short but poignant chapters.
